The four volume book "Hans and Hannah Wenger, North American Descendants" is available on CD. This publication made in Dec. 2000 is the result of many years of compilation and includes the research of Norman Wenger Nauman, Rev. Roger Daniel Winger, Richard Lee Winger and many, many others. This publication covers the descendants of the three sons of Hans and Hannah Wenger, namely Hans Wenger of Jonestown, Lebanon Co., PA, who immigrated in 1748, Michael Wenger and Christian Wenger of Rapho Township, Lancaster Co., PA who immigrated in 1749.
This publication has a full index and cross referencing of over 177,000 names. Photos and maps show the early Wenger homesteads and research of Samuel Esbenshade Wenger covers the possible origins of the Wenger family in Switzerland.
The CD may be read on a Macintosh computer or an IBM PC clone using DOS or Windows.
The program that is used to read the book is called Acrobat® Reader, a standard program used on many computers. The program allows viewing of the book in enlarged characters if desired. The program allows very fast searching of the book, not only for names of individuals but for any word in the book (every word of the book is indexed). The Acrobat Reader program is included on the CD, both Macintosh and PC versions.
Any section, page or part of the book may be printed. The entire book may be printed but unless you have a duplex printer (a printer that prints on both sides of the page), you will have a very large stack of paper to bind. The entire book may be printed but not for profit.
The price of the CD is $25 (US), shipping included.
